What is an ADD ON COURSE ?
Add on Courses are also called as need based career oriented course. This is a new venture envisaged by the UGC in the year 2006. This programme will be considered as an additional course apart from regular papers offered in the UG programme.
These courses are primarily meant to enrich the knowledge and provide additional skills in a particular field / area for better career prospects.
Why is this course essential ?
Today we live in a highly competitive world. In a knowledge economy only the intellectually fittest can thrive. Therefore it is necessary to acquire additional skills in order to be work worthy or job ready. ADD ON COURSES meet these requirements and have been offered to our students since 2006. SPECIAL FOCUS AN 'A STREAM' STUDENTS
As 'A Stream' students already have a high level of proficiency in the English Language, they will find it easier to learn new subjects which are highly career oriented. High achievers among 'B Stream' students from any department are welcome to choose any Add on Course which they consider more suitable for their needs.

Instruction to Students
• Interested students are advised to join this course.
• Application forms can be had from the Academic Deans Office in the Administrative Block.
• The courses will commerce from 21st July 2009.
• Duration of the course is one year (Two Semesters).
• Those who complete the course successfully will be awarded the Certificate.
• One year Certificate course will have 180 teaching hours.
• Practical / Field work / Project will be held on weekends.
• Internal Test (CA) will be conducted under the direct jurisdiction of the course
teacher and the Director (Academic Deans)
