Prof. I. A.J. Jeyadoss, has been appointed as the Dean of Students of our college from June 2010. The role of Dean of Students is to facilitate the all round development of the student community in the campus. The following responsibilities are assigned to the Dean of students:

To sanction mid-day meals for deserving poor students and monitor the same.
- To take care of the Canteen and look into matters related to it.

To plan and allot money for Students Union activities such as Ovations
(inter-department cultural festival), participation in inter-collegiate competitions,
and other programmes.
- To distribute the money to the Department Associations,
(to organize department festivals) collected from the special fees for student activities.

To recommend attendance concession for students who are involved in
various activities organized by the Rotaract Club, NSS, Students Union, Departments etc.

To co-ordinate all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
-
To be an ex-officio member of the various decision making bodies and committees.

To monitor the participation of Evening College students in inter collegiate
cultural programmes.

To scrutinise and sign Public Notices and Posters.

To forward the list of credit courses such as AICUF, Rotaract.
-
To recommend and forward tour programmes of students to the Vice-Principal (Academic).

To plan, consult and conduct Students Union / Students Representative Elections.

To facilitate the formation and conduct of Students Council Meetings.
-
To look into the day-to-day problems and needs of the students. (other than academic)

To interact with the teachers and authorities concerned with redresal of
grievances of the students.

To guide students to respective officials for fulfilling their needs.

To regulate Blood Donation through Rotaract Club.

If need arises, to look into emergency health problems of students by
referring to some hospitals.
