Annual Report (2008-2009)
Annual Report (2009-2010)
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was revived this year in Loyola thanks to the initiative and interest taken by the Loyola College Management. The EDC was inaugurated on 10th December. This year was more of an awareness building exercise for the student and faculty organisers of the cell. Though there is no evidence that the benefits or challenges of entrepreneurship were fully appreciated by all Loyolites, there is no denying the active interest in the subject by the very enthusiastic members of the EDC, this year. This is evidenced by the nearly 22 events/ programs taken part in, by either the Faculty or the Students involved. Students benefited much from the seminars, talks, skills development workshops, paper presentations, and competitions organised or participated in, by them.
Mr. Sharad Babu, CEO, FoodKing with EDC, Loyola Faculty.

| The highlight of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell was ‘E week’. E week
started with a signatory campaign that was aimed at answering one simple
question, were students open to the concept of entrepreneurship?
In keeping with such innovativity and vision, the second programme in the
agenda was the B plan competition, where students from all colleges were
encouraged to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges B plan competition,
where students from all colleges were encouraged to pitch their business ideas
to a panel of judges who would then evaluate its worthiness and deem whether it
was worthy of winning the grand prize of 50000 Rupees.
The E WEEK ended with influential speakers in Nishant Radhakrishnan and Joji
Varghese addressing the audience. Their session was quite lively and
interactive. The overall structure is a mock situation of how the market operates
and keeping in mind that the E WEEK has been about connecting students to the
true roots of entrepreneurship.
