I am happy to welcome every one from all walks of life and all parts of the world to be a part of Future Loyola College, Chennai. From the beginning, Loyola has been known as one of the pioneers in the field of higher education. No wonder, Loyola College has been marked for its distinctive Jesuit System of Education. Our aim is to remain at the forefront of centers of learning, teaching and research. Loyola strives to promote academic excellence and equal access to all especially to the poor and the marginalized sections of the society. In the context of commercialization of education in India, Loyola has always stood for Values and for the empowerment of the poor. At the moment there are sizable of number of first generation students from the rural areas studying in Loyola College. Loyola College strives to give all round formation to all the students making them academically excellent and socially committed. As a Principal of the College, I provide academic leadership and direction to maintain the academic standards and to ensure that the College continues to retain its recognition by UGC as the College with Potential for Excellence and by NAAC as one of the accredited higher Education Institutions with high grade points in India. With our distinct student centred teaching-learning and evaluation methodology, our students will be able to face the challenges of life successfully and be men and women for others. While I gratefully acknowledge the great contribution of our old students for their support in fulfilling our mission of providing quality education with social responsibility to the students, I warmly seek their continued participation in the curriculum update, in the capacity building of the students, in the successful implementation of internship programmes, in providing scholarships to the poor students and in the development of infrastructural facilities of the College.
