Submission Guidelines
Guidelines to the Authors
1  The journal invites manuscript of social significance from scholars in the field of arts and humanities such as Sociology, History, Psychology, Social Work, Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, Commerce, Philosophy, Management Studies, Education, Ethics, International Relation, and Literature.

2  The original research manuscript should be between 5,000 and 8000 words in A4 size paper. The text must be in MS-Word format in 12-point size, in Times New Roman font with 1.5 as line spacing. The main-headings of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman font, with font size at 14 and each first letter of the each word in the main-headings should be capitalised (except preposition) and in Bold, for example, Introduction to Sociology. The sub-headings must be in Times New Roman font, with font size 12 and each first letter of the each word in the sub-headings should be capitalised (except preposition) and it should be in Bold, for example Nature of Sociology. The first page of the manuscript should carry only the title, author(s)' name(s), designation(s), official address, phone/fax numbers, and e-mail addresses.

3. An abstract not exceeding 250 words in single line spacing with 0.5-point indent (right and left) must accompany the manuscript and it should contain 4-5 key words.

4. The reference details of all works cited in the text should be presented alphabetically at the end of the manuscript under References in sequence using the APA format.

5. On Citation
•  Narrative format citation in-text, for example, Durkheim (1895), 
•  Parenthetical format citation in-text (Durkheim, 1895),
•  Separate the page numbers by 'p' of citations (Bourdieu, 1977,p.264) and 
•  Hyphenate the inclusive numbers by 'pp' for continuous page numbers (Bourdieu, 1977, pp.264-265). 
•  When citing more than one author on the same concept, the entries should be chronological with works of different authors separated by a semicolon (Coser, 1956; Cott, 1977; Fenton, 1980).
•  For co-authored works, cite both names (Lebaron & Mauger, 2001); for works authored by three or more authors, use 'et al.' after the first name (Turner et al., 2002).
•  If gazetteers, reports, and works of governmental organisations and other institutions are cited, mention the name of the organisation/ institution sponsoring the publication in the citation, fully spelt out at its first occurrence (Government of India {GOI}, 2003) and use its abbreviation/ acronym in subsequent citations (GOI, 2003).

6. Social Glance follows the footnote and endnote patterns.

7. Tables, charts, maps, figures, etc. are to be placed centrally. Number these serially, with appropriate titles/captions. Refer to them in the text by their number as shown in Table 1, Figure 1, etc.

8. Use the double quotations when the author quotes direct words that are less than 40 words.
Example,
Miele (1993) found that "the 'placebo effect,' which had been verified in previous studies, disappeared when (only the first group's) behaviours were studied in this manner"
Block (Indent) Quotations
: Block (Indent) quotations should be used when the author quotes more than 40 direct words. Do not use the double quotation mark in the block quotes.

Example
             As per CDC guideline, the adults aged 18 to 64 should do at least 150 minutes a week of moderate physical
             activity or do 75 minutes a week of vigorous - intensity physical activity or an equivalent combination of
             moderate and vigorous-intensity activity. For additional health benefit, the adults should increase their
             moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity to 300 minutes per week or engage in 150 minutes of vigorous
             - intensity aerobic physical activity per week or an equivalent combination of moderate-intensity and vigorous
             - intensity activity (United States of America Health and Human Service, 2018)

9. Use and maintain British/Indian English spelling throughout the manuscript uniformly (labour, not labor; programme, not program).

10. The page numbers should be at the bottom-centre of every page.
