Admission & Registration

LSSS facilitates access to higher education by identifying students from disadvantaged backgrounds, understanding their educational and socio-economic needs, and providing appropriate guidance and support throughout the admission process.

Identification of Students

Identifies students who may require additional support, including first-generation learners, students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, Dalit and tribal communities, orphans and semi-orphans, students with disabilities or specific learning needs, children of folk artists, migrants and refugees, and other vulnerable communities.

Admission Guidance & Counselling

Receives and interacts with students and parents who require guidance during the admission process, assessing educational background, socio-economic circumstances and support needs.

Student Assessment & Referral

Conducts a preliminary assessment of identified students and compiles the relevant information for consideration by the Admission Office, enabling deserving students to be appropriately referred.

Admission Support & Follow-up

Coordinates with the Admission Office and follows up with recommended students, providing additional guidance to help them complete the admission process.

Connecting Students with Support Services

Following admission, eligible students may be connected with relevant LSSS services such as scholarships, academic support, mentoring, student welfare and other developmental initiatives.

Objectives of the Admission & Registration Vertical

The Admission & Registration vertical seeks to widen access to higher education by identifying students who require additional support, providing appropriate guidance during the admission process, and connecting them with academic, financial and developmental opportunities that enable them to pursue their education with confidence and dignity.
